This video was accidentally set to private by its owner some time ago. It’s now back in the public domain. It’s the last known images taken inside the place during the pre auction viewing in the late 90s. Since then not a single picture exists!
Very rare to see a cinema interior painted Lime Green. Opened on 12 October 1936 with 2005 seats, Essoldo took it over in Aug 1950 changing the name of what had been the Longford Theatre. Closed as cinema in Sept 1965 and then over to Bingo The 950 seated Picturedrome was also taken over by Essoldo in 1950.Closed 13 May 1961 and demolished.
